2012 April 25 National Portrait Gallery Washington D.C. Miller-Havens Teaches First Class to Visit D.C. from the D.R., The Carol Morgan School 8th grade.

The topic was The Miller-Havens Portrait of Pedro Martinez focusing on how art, music, and theater related to her creating the painting. Martinez spoke about his understanding of what moment in time the portrait captured and it’s symbolic significance to him and his country.
